CYLINDRICAL MYSTERY LAMPS

by Jill Fehrenbacher

Spotted on Mocoloco, these cylindrical lamps from Lumino Design appear to be made from chain-mail or some other striated material. Unfortunately, all I could find out from the website was “Lorem ipsum dolor.” That’s greek for “website under construction!” I’m looking forward to finding out more about these beautiful mystery lamps, so if anyone knows anything, give me a shout.

If you’re going to make fun of their site being under construction, at least get the language correct :) It’s Latin! Oh and keep coming with the good stuff!

Thank you to all who have attempted to correct me in this post! :-) Sorry that my poor attempt at humor wasn’t clear here. I don’t actually think “Lorem Ipsum dolor” is “Greek” as in from Greece, nor do I think it translates to “website under construction”. As a web designer, I know for a fact that “Lorem Ipsum Dolor” is is a bunch of nonsense words called “greek” which is used in the graphic design for mocking up dummy text. (It uses some Latin words, but in no particular order). And I’m not trying to poke fun at Lumino design (well maybe just little). I actually really like these designs and am anxious to find out how I can get my hands on one of these lamps.

If you punch down far enough through the site you get to the data sheets such as http://luminodesign.com/spool_12.pdf which will illuminate you with such wonderful things as dimensions and materials.
