It has 4 fabric layers, one of them i 1.5 cm yak felt. The accoustics are amazing as well. I set it up on the grass for the summer and have stored it for winter because it doesn't work well with wet and cold unless you're living in it (and therefore heating it). Much better than one canvas layer on top.

Last year I bought a traditional yurt that is 6 and a half metres in diametre – and it’s easy as pie to keep warm and cool. I see a reference to insulation in the FAQ.
What R-value can be attained? How much cost is added if you add insulation to the walls, windows, and roof?

The lack of insulating walls would seem to be a challenge.<br

You could put the bathroom wherever you want.

Like with any prefab house, you would need to get plumbing and a bathroom installed after you set up the framework of the house.
