LEED for homes

by Jill Fehrenbacher

LEED for Homes, LEED

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has announced the launch of its much-awaited one year pilot program for its newest green building rating system, LEED for Homes. Now architects and developers working to build environmentally sustainable homes will be able to apply for LEED accredidation for their projects, a designation which can result in government support, tax-breaks, positive publicity, and of course, good karma.

Home builders interested in taking part in the LEED for Homes pilot can submit an application online at www.usgbc.org/leed/homes or directly to one of the LEED for Homes Providers.
