HURRICANE DISASTER RELIEF

Instead of focusing on our own habitat today, we realize now is a crucial time to reach out to those in need in the hurricane-ravaged gulf states. Please give a thought to the thousands in Louisiana and Mississippi who are currently without power, without shelter, without food or clean drinking water ? many even missing loved ones. The Red Cross and similar organizations are all soliciting donations right now to help out with the disaster relief effort.

My prayers go out to those in the Gulf states! If there was ever a time to help out with whatever you can, this is it.
This would be a perfect time for the government to buy a bunch of Mini-Micro homes (http://www.inhabitat.com/entry_383.php). At least people would have some shelter from the elements. I am sure these will be too small for some people (esp. with families), but hey at least its something until they can find something more permanent.
