Prefab is geting interesting. Why big? What’s between Metro-Shed and “Big”? Is there anything? I would like to see more “container” ideas. 1,2,3,4 container (qty) models, all possibilities on interlocking and stacking with less re-work on the container itself. Maybe connection modules (clear-sunroom) for light and doors, stairs.

Yesterday MSN posted an article about your home designs. On it was a smaller one story building that was cubic with a large glass opening at one end. I have searhed all of your web pages and can not find any information about that building. Could Prefab Housing be made for higher floors, may be 5 to 6 floors?? In that case, it would be good for market in China, where land is scarce. Besides, how could we lower the cost of the prefab housing.

I was under the mistaken impression that Dwell was conducting a contest to award a free flatpak home to a contest entrant. It would seem that was just BS, as months have passed with no mention of a winner.

prefab is supposed to make modern houses affordable? they all cost over $400,000 and that doesn’t include the land that they need to sit on. so dwell and the rest should just can the crap about modern for the masses.

Thanks for the post from your friends at Dwell! Just wanted to point out that you have misspelled one of the architect’s names…it’s Joel Turkel as opposed to Joel Turkle.
Any chance you could correct that?
