STUDIOBILITY’s INNER BEAUTY

We love the clever use of negative space in Studiobility’s gorgeous Inner Beauty tables. While the outsides of these pieces have a generic, rounded-rectangle look common to a lot of modern furniture, the interior of each piece has its own unique, laser-cut floral pattern. These may not make great storage solutions, but their decorative “inner beauty” far makes up for any lack in functionalism.
Studiobility is a pair of Icelandic designers with a playful streak. Their design products range from flying kite-chairs to , to a double-sided rocking chair that rocks in opposing directions. We were initially seduced by the wit and whimsical humor of Studiobility’s design sense, but we also love their masterful use of laser-cutting technology to carve out negative space in a way that exquisitely blends clean minimalism with playful organic shapes.
