I've actually walked past the enormous construction site several times without ever realizing the importance of the building going up. When the new Bank of America building, designed by Cook + Fox Architects, is completed - it will be the first skyscraper ever to attain a Platinum LEED accreditation. And since Platinum is the best you can get out of the four-tiered LEED system, it means that this will be the greenest skyscraper in the world.1
