It can often be said that the more complicated things get, the worse off they are: simpler is usually better. Wud Furniture Design seems to prove this philosophy with their clean, contemporary pieces. Beautiful slabs of hardwood and straightforward metals are combined using classical joinery and tooling.
Wud was founded by Corey Springer in 2002 after studying art and sculpture. All of the pieces bear exceptional craftsmanship as well as a keen eye for functional beauty. However, his extensive use of hardwoods and lead make us question the sustainability of his pieces, however beautiful. Hopefully he can clue us in when we check him out this weekend at BKLYN DESIGNS!
