I rather buy a simple wooden bed frame from my neighbourhood furniture shop, for a quarter of that price! With $500, i can buy 5 good quality sleeping bags! Honestly, it looks cool but just a novelty idea/item.

It is a folded cardboard! How long will it last?! However, why on earth is a large piece of folded cardboard costing $500?

I agree that sleeping on the floor past the age of 30 is something that is not altogether desirable. I am given pause every time I read "ghetto"-hyphen-fill in the blank. I am old enough to not be
able to read it without connoting a whiff of something condescending and back-handedly racist.
Maybe there's another cool/edgy word that might suffice and not risk pissing off devoted readers
like myself.

Okay, I know you folks are committed to edginess but this is going to be a Word Police moment:<br

I think it has something to do with being more vulnerable while sleeping. Even a modest rise like this would give the sleeper a greater sense of comfort.

There is something vaguely uncomfortable about sleeping at floor level. I rememeber seeing it on some other site and the thing retails for something like $500. Granted one of those aerobeds with a built-in stand wouldn't be as environmentally friendly, but it would take up less space when stored, save money and be supremely more comfortable. This is just a cardboard futon. Can anyone over thirty use this for one night without waking up with aches and pains? I'm just tired of this being shown off like something new and great when it just doesn't make any sense.

Yes, you would have to be a young urbanite to either use or afford this thing.
