DUTCH READER MEETUP?

by Jill Fehrenbacher, 07/13/06

dutchdesignsm, Dutch Design, Inhabitat Dutch Design Trip, Dutch Design, Holland, Netherlands

I was really surprised and impressed by how many people got in touch with me regarding my upcoming trip to the Netherlands. I never realized we had so many Dutch readers!

Some of you expressed interest in meeting up for drinks, so I’m starting to think about having an Inhabitat reader meetup in Amsterdam. A friend’s got a potential space lined up for me — so I just want to test the waters here and see if there is any interest. If you are interested, please leave a comment below with your email address, or email me directly, and I’ll get in touch with further details. Thanks again for all your help!

Hi,
just another little suggestion when visiting Eindhoven: Piet Hein Eek (http://www.pietheineek.nl/). He designs and makes furniture mostly based on recycled wood and other materials. He has a showroom in Geldrop (1km near Eindhoven). Friend of mine works there so be sure to drop by! More information can be found on his website.

I even have another sugestion, i follow an design study at the artacademic in Utrecht and i’m sure that a lot of my fellow design students are intrested to! It woul be cool that you could see al the new talent from holland!
