A nice Toy… but who cares ? it would be nice if this was a precursor to a new technology that could make real wind turbines both practical to use and install and inexpensive so that all homeowners, or apartment dwellers, could afford to buy and use them. Maybe that’s what’s next for these guys ? If so… good luck.

Actually, this is useful to me. Every now and then I need a reliable voltage generator for small projects. If this thing can light up 3 LED’s then it obviously can generate at least 3volts. That’s useful to me. Cool.

its cool and i love this
i am also interested in the wind turbine so its a very good kit to be demonstrated.
it is very useful to show the general public about the wind turbine
i would certainly use this kit to show to the students to grow the interest among them if i had.

Way cool device. This would be cool to add on a bike – movement = wind = light (although, probably not very bright). Or, as a wind indicator outside (if it is weatherproof)

It would be more useful and easy if the axil stay verticl fan-blades rotate horizonal, The bulbs leds should be on top of it.

the artist jason bruges used hundreds of turbines like these in an installation we commissioned on the southbank in london… [originally commissioned as part of architecture week 07]

the patterns of the wind are visualised as a beautiful cloud of light.
it’s a really nice visual way to show how wind can be harnessed and used to create energy, and i think will inspire people to think about wind power
