I was also intrigued and inspired by a tribe I stayed with in the Madidi National Park on a tributory river of the Amazon in Bolivia. My sacks read 'Use jute; save the Amazon'.
I have also used applique, fringing, plaiting .......Five years ago I made a bustier from pink bubble wrap, making hundreds of tiny flowers to embelish it!
So, you can see I am very interested in your work too.Kind regards from sunny Jersey! - Laraine Swift - mature art student!!

I came across an article in a back copy of my Selvedge magazine about your wonderful dresses – it is so appropriate for me because I am making a small collection of clothes out of South American jute coffee sacks for my exhibition at art college. I find it is more expensive to be green and working for a non-profit organization doesn't help, but it makes me feel good at the end of the day.Leena

I was wondering how affordable this green clothing is.
