by Tylene Levesque

We’ve long been fans Iannone:Sanderson’s amazingly creative and cute sustainable furniture designs. Every year at ICFF we count on seeing several new organic designs in kirei and bamboo from Iannone, and this year didn’t disappoint. Although he appears to have lost partner Sanderson somewhere in the past year, Iannone showed again this year at ICFF with a whole host of gorgeous new pieces, including the eco-fabulous Elk Mod Lodge Sideboard shown above.

Iannone-Sanderson Buck Shelf

Just how green can this one piece be? The kirei doors are made from the reclaimed stalks of the sorghum plant and bonded using a formaldehyde free adhesive. The natural birch plywood used in the interior is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)—it comes from sustainable forests. And, the teke wood veneer laminate is GREENGUARD certified. If thats not enough, the elk and tree design will have you feeling like you are standing in the middle of a forest every time you look at it.
