I’m soliciting information as to the thinning, not shrinkage, of the Polar Ice Cap since the year 2000. The shrinkage this year has been shocking, but that’s just information from satellites and doesn’t give us the whole story. The thinning is probably much worse, but I can’t find much information about this.

Al Gore certainly deserved the Nobel Prize. The only criticism I have of his film is that it doesn’t show how bad things really are. But then, the data used to make the film are two years old, and we have learned much since then. Al Gore is still telling audiences that it’s ‘not too late to save the Polar Ice Cap,’ and this simple isn’t true.

Having just become a parent of two babies this week, I was really moved to discover that I am bringing them into a world where The Nobel Peace Prize is being awarded to Gore and his team, and environmental issues and urgent calls to action are being given the focus and attention that is deserved and required for global environmental and social well-being.
