I know the prices may seem steep but as a retired carpenter I'd say the prices are more than fair considering the material. MDF(especially Formaldehyde-Free) and Bamboo can be expensive. So, please, be more careful with the expression 'not imported, as it implies a local material source. I suppose the bamboo comes a long way from China, as most bamboo does.
