But until economies of scale kick in and there are more people out there making organic cotton shirts, and printing with water-based inks, the costs will remain high.-Jill

Thanks for understanding Gurv-

Believe me we would LOVE to cut our costs and get our prices down on these so that we can sell more of these and make a profit. The price is much easier to understand with an explanation like that. And as I said before (and meant), the shirt is beautiful in design and style. Certainly one of the better looking shirts out there.

Jill — Thank you for the response. You need to understand that when you spend $10 on a T-shirt at Walmart or Target - the reason that that T-shirt is so cheap is because it is produced by sweatshirt labor in China, using the cheapest and lowest quality materials, under unregulated conditions. The cotton is not organic, nor is it grown in America, the pieces are mass produced using toxic inks.If you try to use the highest level of quality in a T-shirt such as we have: using organic, American grown cotton - using garments produced in America, and printed by hand in a small shop, using eco-friendly dyes in San Francisco, the costs are very high. It actually costs us about $30 per piece to produce these shirts, the extra $5 is for shipping. We are making no profit off of these shirts, and honestly $35 is not that ridiculous for a handmade T-shirt. You get what you pay for.-Jill

Hi Gurv-

We get these type of comments a lot, so I would like to try to address this issue. Unfortunately another "sustainable" product that is luxury priced and out of the reasonable financial reach of those of us that still live in this world.

Beautiful shirt.
