Why don’t they do permaculture on the roof. The grass makes it looks like the grass is more clever than the Man. Grass wants to dominated like that, and love being cut (to prevent other things from growing). A food forest on the roof would take care of it self and have steadily growth in function. Can do light weight versions of permaculture too if structure live load is not sustainable.

I stay in Singapore and has seen this building! Trust me when I say that it looks even better up close!

If only they can have more buildings like this in the heart of the city! This building is situated waaaaaay in the suburbs where only students ever go! Imagine how many more people will enjoy buildings like these in the city. Wouldn’t hurt to have more green (technologically, architecturally or visually) buildings in the heart of the shooping and financial district, if you ask me!

Perfect, but actually this building and artificial green is nothing without (real) trees which surrounds the building.

Nice concept, looks stunning from the right angles but all those steps could cause problems for wheelchair users as I can’t see many ramps…

Architectonically soeaking it’s a great buiding, but a critical thing I find in this proyect is the court of glass covering all the proyect, and they don’t have a facade. its like… they make a great investigation on the proyect i can’t blame for that, but like i said, they guys forged about the facade, and make all the good work in landscaping.

That has got to be one of the coolest green roofs I have ever seen! Too bad Hong Kong and Shanghai can’t get in on the act.

I was in Shanghai in January and the air was awful. I was there on business and saw much of the city from other office buildings. There are tons of flat roofs and not a single one had even a shred of vegetation.

I want to know more about the topic, so I found stuff on this site, as well as stuff on http://www.cleanerairforcities.blogspot.com I wish they put more green roofs here in the states also. I know they are big in Chicago.

to those who want to see this roof covered with solar panels – it really seems like one of the major concepts of this design is the ability to walk on the roof; whether it\’s efficient or not, smearing the roof with PVs would have the changed the project completely
