Voltaic Now Using Recycled Bottles in their Solar Bags

by Jorge Chapa

Voltaic, voltaic solar bags, solar powerd bag, solar laptop bag, charge your laptop with the sun, solar laptop charging, voltaic generator bag, solar bags, solar accessories, solar fashion, green gadgets

Just when we thought the idea of solar-powered backpacks couldn’t get any better, Voltaic goes and ups the ante with new recycled materials. The solar bag company showed their backpacks and laptop bags at Greener Gadgets, and have now announced they’re moving to use 100% post-consumer recycled PET plastic based fabrics.

Voltaic is moving away from virgin materials and into 100% post-consumer recycled PET plastic based fabrics (that come from recycled bottles). In addition to using less energy to produce, the recycled fabric is light weight, durable, UV and water resistant. This move applies to all their upcoming products, so if you are in need of a nice bag that will give you something extra, you may want to give Voltaic’s new lineup a look.

That’s insane. I thought that it took a ton of heavy solar stuff to power a laptop! How much do they run?
