Opening day for the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre.Googled images on the the thing, and this web site popped up. Kudos. The building has cost a lot of money, but it will be well used. It\'s an economic feature of the city, and not really a practical environmental factor. However, the VCEC\'s ergonomics will stick out and get noticed and discussed. The project does demonstrate how much we humans have adapted away from nature and are now trying to return. We have over-organized our ability to walk barefoot.living down the road,

I agree with the writer that actually certifying LEED is a big difference from just "qualifying". Here's hoping they go the full measure, all the way around! After all, what better for an Olympic venue than Gold? :)

Looks like an excellent proposition given that hosting the Olympics can be a devastating venture to the city’s environment, both pre- and post-event.
