This looks great. I think Rocio Romero is the best I can find in prefab/kit homes. I want to build one in the Bellingham, WA area.

Doesn’t the basement square footage count as overall square footage???

If you put a regular LV on top of a basement (second living room, guest bathroom, and laundry room), wouldn’t the square footage be 2300??? Should you expect to pay ~$120 a square foot for the basement? I’m guessing not and that a basement would be a great way to add low cost square footage.

i love these homes, want one really bad. already have great acreage surrounded by pine trees on 17 acres with pond.

I have followed the Rocio Romero “Fab phenomena” for several years now, since its beginning. It appears to be one of the best organized design and production ideas around….
I was surprized to see one photo on their website that showed the building process–and all of the actual building studs and rafters, etc., were wood. (Can I assume that metal studs, etc., can be substituted? It would make a lot of sense in areas that are plagued with moisture/humidity problems, as well as termite and carpenter ant problems as well–which of course are well distributed throughout the USA…)

Love the siding too! Reminds me of the CH10 model from CleverHomes. As others said, a slightly darker shade would look awesome… they should offer this as an option for those who’d be willing to spend a little more.

I would have to agree with djfred and also would like to see the unit swathed in cedar red or dark . Availability in Canada is what i would like to know ?

Set in Northern Ontario along the Valley East Basin Area where lakes dot the landscape i would want to see how these units fare in minus 40 weather , I would also like to see how far the extras do go for i would seriously consider this prefab elite based upon affordability quality and common sense and i wonder when the common sense of this prefab dream catches on to the overinflated geared to the very small minority of wealthy clientele who cannot make up their minds with the immense selectivity when there are these units where the niche is the largerst and choices are small ?

Also we represent cleanfield wind turbine systems and i would like the readers opinions on what they think our turbines would look on the rooftops of units like these and other flat roofed prefab units and if the package opted for the extra of a wind turbine system at a very attractive price ontop fashioned to aprefab home as this and if anyone would think this would be a red herring or not ?

Yeah, the LV is still top of the list as far as I’m concerned. I really like that treatment with the cedar siding in front but it’s rally made me curious to see the whole thing in cedar. Maybe a darker shade. I’m thinking ti would look a lot like that Modern Park Trailer Christopher Deam designed for Breckenridge, but large enough to be a fulltime residence.

1453sf seems like the perfect trade-off between usability and environmental sensitivity.

I keep waiting for something better to come out but maybe it’s time to stop waiting.
