Office Workers rejoice! No longer shall sweet Spring breezes and the splendid Summer sun tempt thy shade-drawn domain! Shirk off thy cubicles, thy mouse and keyboard manacles! Too dramatic? Well, at any rate, this solar powered outdoor workspace by Mathias Schnyder offers an attractive office alternative for desk-bound drones seeking to brighten their work environment.

The integrated table and chairs feature a molded wood construction topped off with a solar roof, effectively severing ties to the grid and providing power via an outlet in the table’s center. The system’s modular structure allows for a variable number of seats, so conferencing and team based computing could be conducted from any locale. No word yet about pricing or availability, but as soon as they’re out you’ll find me blogging from Golden Gate Park.

I dream of something like that for my backyard. The price tag will probably be on the high side since they target businesses. I enjoy the concept.
