How much does this thing realy cost to build? I sat down and figured what I would spend in a year driving my SUV. It costs me less to keep the gass hog for a few years more ( I spend $100 a week at 52 weeks a year for a grand total of $5,200.00 per year). Please creat somthing green that compares to a scooter or a motorcycle in price.

The car is cute. But $36,000.00? People are not going to pay more $ for less vehicle. The reason someone buys an economy vehicle is because they want to save money. They are not willing to pay the price of 2 cars for 1 motorcycle sized car.

The reason this will not sell well is because of the $36,000 price tag. I think half that price would be too much for a one-seater that only goes 25-30 miles at a time. Even with gas prices going through the roof there are much better options among regular vehicles. Nice try, though.

I was sold until I saw the $36K price. I think half that price would be too much for a one-seater that only goes 25-30 miles at a time. This is the Corbin Sparrow, first available in 1999 for around $10,000. 75 MPH, 30 miles on a charge... exact same vehicle: http://www.corbinsparrow.com/ Unfortunately, the corbin company declared bankcruptcy and I don't think the vehicles are being manufactured. Perhaps this is a licensed copy?

I don’t get it.
