There are still 300 moving ICE parts that repesent too much mining, refining, processing, casting, machining, polishing, assembly and then oil changes, air filters, oil filters, fuel filters, sensors, plugs, wires, caps rotors and other regular replacement tune-up parts....plus it requires another 100+ parts in a transmission.Look, its simple. there is NO future for fossil fuel burning vehicles. Period.Need longer range and more power like a huge truck for overland shipment? We have hydrogen fuel cells with electric motors for that need. Boeing just flew a fuel cell electric airplane. The ICE engine is DEAD. We do not need it. Tesla and Venturi Fetish proove we can have super cars that are zero pollution. We have even better battery technology coming with +300 mile range and 45 minute or less recharges The Model S is a georgeous car ! 1 moving part vs 400. Some pollution versus none. Solar recharging at home versus funding Arab Sheiks. Great looks and high performance. What is not to love? Dump the ICEs they are last century old technology...just like the steam engine trains. I can make my controller produce gutteral sounds like a gas engine....or Star Wars Millenium Falcon or Enterprise Star Trek noises if I get tired of electric stealth mode. Flip a switch wake the dead, deflip for superb silence. the future is now.

I am not impressed. I'll take the Fisher Karma way before i would bother with this toy.Unfortunately Fisher hasn't got it's act together yet because the first model won't be delivered until 2010!!???

Very nice but just another impractical 2 seater,to go around town and showboat. I can't wait for the Automotive X-Prize to heat up.

That’s awesome!

But if it gets 220mpg why does it need four exhaust pipes?<br
