I always loved the C1 and was disappointed when they haulted production. I've see MP3's in Paris a lot on my last trip and was determined to buy one as soon as i got the scratch...but seeing this, i may reconsider. But, Peugeot doesn't sell in the US so maybe the overpriced Vespa/Piaggio will due.I live in Missouri, USA and Helmets are optional on scooters under 50 cc. But I have seen people without helmets on motorcycles too. Just stupid if you ask me not too.

I love the Piaggio MP3’s and would buy one, but seeing this with the roof. Which is in large part why the BMW C1 scooter never sold very well.I had the good fortune of being on the press launch for the Piaggio MP3. The tilting 3 wheeler thing has a lot of promise. I also own one of the few Peugeot scooters in the US and am very impressed with their products.

Jos_Smos,

In most European countries, helmets are mandatory, even on motorcycles with roofs. Well, in warmer climbs, that is.Its size would help to cut down on congestion on our roads - always a problem - and it's gas consumption is excellent. But then Peugoet do seem to produce excellent consumption - their diesel engine cars can get up to 60mpg. I know someone who has one and is ecstatic with the mileage when fuel prices are so high. This kind of super-mini car is a step in the right direction for personal transport. Why do people who invariably drive alone need a 'whole' car? They pay for resources they don't use and then pay again for fuel to drag all those resources around everywhere they go. It really is dumb when you think about it.Steve N. Lee

I can imagine these on city streets.
