I just ordered a dishwasher cover from http://www.applianceart.com for my old dishwasher that runs fine but is ugly as all get out. It doesn't make my dishwasher work better, but it seems like a better alternative to throwing out an appliance that still works fine but just needs an aesthetic face lift.

It seems like replacing your dishwasher may not always be the greenest option because of the energy it takes to make a new one and the landfill space your old one would take up.
