You know, crude oil is not an infinite source of energy, in contradiction to what some corporates may have told you... And its going to run out fast, very fast.If it comes to sustainability, fossil fuel/electric hybrids are only just a way to create a bridge between classic cars and all-electric/fuel cell cars. Yes, it means a huge change in the way we transport ourselves, in our habits of transportation. Hybrids are in fact only just a marketing strategy to make it easier for consumers and businesses to adapt their living to a future more sustainable way of transportation and the thereby belonging infrastructures. So, hybrids are not sustainable at all, but they do fill a great gap. Their role in this big change towards the future is undoubtedly necessary to get to the goal of all-electric or fuell cell cars. And if it comes to green technologies, fuel cell wins over all-electric. Yes, hydrogen needs to be produced with electricity, but it is the same energy as that goes in your car when you're driving an all-electric. There are also much less hazardous materials needed to create a fuel cell, compared to the classic batteries, which require lithium, mercury,...

Why diesel/petrol hybrids? While all forms of transportation, aside from human powered, tax our resources, fuel cells tax us because they require energy to PRODUCE the fuel cell, and then production and distribution of facilities to allow folks to fill up - how much energy will be wasted just building these stations? Straight electric allows the power to go to work immedicately. Is it perfect? no - but it allows a simpler path from production to use. Then they can make it lok cool just like this honda if they want, but what I think is car that makes sense is a diesel/electric hybrid that get all wheel drive. wow - that would be practical and make sense for the majority of the US. Come on Subaru!!!!!!!!

not a fan of hydrogen fuel cell.
