I sent contributions to the local women's rape crisis center, a homeless shelter and a center for unwed mothers. I felt like I had finally done Christmas right. Instead of buying gifts for people who had everything and would likely be tossed out in the near future, I contributed to the needs of people in dire need. Their appreciation was truly gratifying.
