Artist Patianne Stevenson has finally nailed the recipe for the ultimate all-natural, planet and people-friendly cake. It’s gorgeous, vegan, and virtually free of calories, because, um, it is made of recycled cardboard. She calls her collection The Cardboard Kitchen, and it is filled with chocolate icing, tarts, cupcakes, layer cakes, frosting and little lace doilies.

Stevenson uses a combination of non-toxic bookbinders glue and recycled cardboard to create her hand-crafted treats. Her cooking utensils include exacto knives, box cutters, and a variety of bookmaking tools. The artist says the ingredients often dictate the method of preparation, and the result. Never has recycled cardboard looked so delectable.

Well done to Patianne for creating the ultimate snack-art.
