Kids have a ton of energy, so wouldn’t it be great if we could bottle up some of that excess energy and use it in lieu of batteries in battery-operated toys? That’s precisely the idea behind Fastronauts – an ingenious entry into the 2009 Greener Gadgets Design Competition. Fastronauts is a cute collection of kinetically-powered superhero toys who teach young minds about renewable energy through play. Each eco-friendly action figure is powered by motion, charging a dynamo which allows the toys to ’speak’, light up and zoom around in their vehicles when they’ve been charged through motion. These power-packed dynamic toys are a great way to introduce kids to energy conservation while encouraging them get outside and play.
