GRAND PRIZE: Phone Book Coffee Table by Rodrigo Jaroseski

Rodrigo Jaroseski is taking home our grand prize gift certificate of $200 to the Inhabitat shop for his incredible Phone Book Coffee Table! In the age of the Internet, heavy paper phone books are an environmental catastrophe, so this inspired reuse of an ubiquitous material struck us (and many readers) as a stroke of genius.

SECOND PLACE: Recycled Plastic Jewelry by Kumvana Gomani

Kumvana Gomani’s gorgeous snowflake jewelry was a big hit for its elegant reuse of plastic bottles. Perfect for spring, these fresh pieces are a beautiful reworking of an oft-overlooked material.

THIRD PLACE: Book Book Shelf by Richard Jennions

Not tom.’s beautiful Book Book Shelf is another stunning project that racked up the votes. Constructed from a set of books abandoned in the street, it’s a lovely literal example of found design, and we imagine that an eggling will look perfect perched upon it.

EDITOR’S CHOICE: Laptop Packaging Briefcase by Alison Cromie

Amid an incredible crop of Spring Greening finalists we wanted to showcase one of our favorite entries that we feel perfectly answered of our contest call: Alison Cromie’s Recycled Mackbook Box Briefcase. This beautiful refinished craft case is an simple and elegant example of reusing an item that most people toss in the trash or relegate to cluttered closets. Well done Alison!

Thanks to everyone for their incredible Spring Greening entries, and to all of our readers for supporting them!
