How does design impact a space&#8217;s civic liveliness? On <strong>Monday, July 13, 2009</strong>,  from 10 am to 1 pm, <a

href="http://www.balmori.com/">Balmori Associates</a>, will be unpacking these questions and other issues that surround place-making. 40 landscape architecture and architecture students will join Diana Balmori and Balmori Associates on Monday in the <a
href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meatpacking_District,_Manhattan">Meatpacking District</a> to use the area as a case study to frame their discussion about public places. The conversation will stream online via <a
