We’ve see plenty of great green concept cars at this week’s Tokyo Motor Show, but Yamaha might take the prize for the best-looking two-wheeler with its new EC-f electric motorcycle. Designed to make motorcycling attractive to riders of all ages and experience levels, the vehicle features a lightweight aluminum frame, a long-lasting lithium ion battery, and a 0.6 kWh electric motor.
Mission Motors‘ emission-free superbike recently shattered the world land speed record for electric motorcycles as it clocked in a series of scorching 150mph runs at Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats. Designed in collaboration with Fuse Project, we knew that the superbike had great things in store when Yves Béhar unveiled it earlier this year, and we’re thrilled to see it deliver on its promise!
Just yesterday Yves Béhar unveiled the Mission One, the world’s fastest electric production motorcycle. The fantastic looking bike is the brainchild of Mission Motors and Fuseproject, and is designed to have a top speed of 150mph, with a range of around 150 miles. Yves Béhar’s projects have always exhibited a deft balance between stunning aesthetics and sustainable design, and his latest opus is no exception.
We recently covered the incredible XR3 DIY hybrid car, so it seemed only natural to follow up with an in-depth account of Kyle Dansie’s home-built electric motorcycle. The owner of ZEVUtah purchased a defunct old Kawasaki Ninja from eBay and transformed it into a slick solar-powered vehicle capable of hitting 55 mph with a 50 mile range.
